Ability To Be Awarded Quality Kitemark

Ability has successfully completed an independent assessment for compliance with the Quality Assurance standard ISO 9001:2000. The assessor remarked that “… the successful outcome of this assessment is the result of a significant team effort from all the company’s employees and this was clearly demonstrated by the enthusiastic commitment to the quality system from all personnel encountered during the assessment”.

Ability Board approves Disability Equality Scheme

The Board of Ability has approved a new scheme for Disability Equality that is now available for download on this site. The scheme sets out a vision for equality within Ability as an organisation without barriers, where people with impairments can participate and contribute fully and equally with their non-impaired peers.

Mason Close opening ceremony

October 16th 2007 saw the opening of our latest new-build housing development at Mason Close in Waltham Abbey. The scheme provides supported living for five disabled people in one-bedroom bungalows designed to full wheelchair standard.

Investors in People assessor finds Ability 'inspiring'

Ability has been accredited for the third time as an 'Investor in People', following a reassessment in January.

Our assessor thanked our staff and managers for 'being so inspiring' and said:

"The one thing that stood out above everything during this Review was the enthusiasm and commitment of everyone to who I spoke about the prevailing culture of support and leadership."
