Ability To Be Awarded Quality Kitemark

Ability has successfully completed an independent assessment for compliance with the Quality Assurance standard ISO 9001:2000. The assessor remarked that “… the successful outcome of this assessment is the result of a significant team effort from all the company’s employees and this was clearly demonstrated by the enthusiastic commitment to the quality system from all personnel encountered during the assessment”.

The auditor had no concerns following his assessment and found that all employees interviewed demonstrated a good understanding of the content of all aspects of the documented Quality Management System.

In summing up, the assessor said “… the overall quality objective for the company is to provide an effective service level to all customers and this is clearly being achieved. This fact is further reinforced by the low number of customer complaints recorded by the company since the formal implementation of its documented Quality Management System.

"A positive approach exists within the company to support the ongoing development of all aspects of the quality system and this in turn is supported by an effective internal audit activity. The successful outcome of this assessment is the result of a concerted team effort by all Ability Housing Association employees alike and as such it is highly commended to all of them".
