Four New Build Housing Starts This Month

Building work commences this month on 14 new affordable homes for disabled people on three sites in Reading and one in West Berkshire. Seven of the dwellings will be built to a full wheelchair standard, with a further 6 built to a general needs standard for letting to people with learning difficulties or sensory impairments.
The three developments in Reading will be built by Francis Construction Limited on land provided by Reading Borough Council and are due to be completed during November this year.
The fourth development in Thatcham, West Berkshire is being built by Clarkfields Enterprises Limited on land supplied by Sovereign Housing Group as aprt ofa wider partnership arrangement and is expected to be complete in July, this year.
Public subsidy is provided by The Housing Corporation and, for the Reading sites, by Reading Borough Council. Disabled people expressing an interest in these new homes may register via Accessahome (follow the link below) and are advised also to register for housing with their local authority.
