Fiddlers Green gets ‘good’ rating from the CQC
Published: 5 Mar 2015
Fiddlers Green our care home for people with physical disabilities in Kingston has been awarded ‘good’ in every category, following a Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection carried out last December.
The inspectors used the CQC’s new methods for assessing whether the service was safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led.
The report found: “The manager ran the service in an open and transparent way. We saw good leadership and the service had clear values, which included promoting choice, involvement, dignity, respect, equality and independence for people.”
It also commented: “People were able to make decisions about their everyday life and were asked for their consent. Throughout our inspection we saw staff always sought people’s consent before carrying out any care or support.”
The full report is available on the CQC website.
